Gordon Wood

Gordon Wood is a registered architect who has extensive project experience in needs assessment, facilities programming, planning, and design. He has particular expertise as a strong technical architect on large, complex and technically challenging projects. As the sustainable design leader for Media5, Gordon is responsible for overseeing the facilitation and implementation of sustainable design principles within every project.

Gordon is also Media5's resident expert on affordable housing, and currently works with many State and community organizations in this capacity. His strong business orientation is complemented by an MBA and augmented by equally extensive experience in project and client management, marketing and business development, and myriad other aspects of firm operations and management. He applies his skills and passions in an effort to improve the architectural profession and greater Honolulu community every day.

Gordon has performed in directly responsible positions on more than 100 projects, ranging from the design of a log cabin courthouse in an Alaskan bush community to revising the plans intended to guide development of communities in the East Honolulu, Windward, and Primary Urban Center areas of Oahu through 2025. Outside of the office, Gordon is fortunate enough to live on a yacht with his wife, Patricia Wood, who is a world-famous novelist.
