About the Project

Media5 Architecture designed a large expansion of Island Pacific Academy in Kapolei, Oahu consisting of a gymnasium with associated amenities such as locker rooms and toilet facilities, athletic director offices.

This campus expansion allows IPA to realize its vision of growth well into the 21st century. Classrooms and offices are located above the gym and street frontage spaces are part of the comprehensive features of the building. The total floor area is approximately 132,000 s.f. including the gymnasium space, classrooms and offices. Five hundred forty two parking stalls to service the entire campus is included.

The site of 3.088 acres is located in the urban core of the City of Kapolei. The mid-rise building design conforms to the strict design guidelines of the Kapolei master plan. Anticipated cost of construction will be approximately $60 million.

Client Quote:

"From the moment our idea emerged, the people at Media5 have been inspired collaborators. Their ability to take discussion and transform words into visual options propels the planning conversations forward in a way exciting for all concerned. Always responsive, the principals in Media5 understanding that architecture isn’t just about drawings and plans. IPA places value in our relationship with Media5."
